Dan Anderson

Dan Anderson is an education consultant with over fifteen years of school, district, and state agency experience in school improvement and policy/strategy development, execution, and communication. Dan has worked as an administrator in a turnaround high school and in central office school support and strategy in Boston Public Schools before serving as associate commissioner overseeing assistance work in the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Dan’s district work has included school improvement, strategy and policy, high school portfolio review, redesign and innovation, district reconfiguration (including responding to enrollment changes), accountability systems, MTSS implementation, innovation, and program audits. In all of his work, Dan prioritizes the daily lived experiences of students and he begins any project by asking, “Have you asked your students about this issue? What have your students told you?” Dan has an Ed.D in Educational Leadership from Boston College (2020) and a Master’s in School Leadership from Harvard (2012).
