Campus Without Walls invites exceptional, experienced high school teachers who are passionate about educational equity to apply to become All-Star Lead Teachers. As an All-Star Lead Teacher, you will open your classroom through a live, virtual platform to students across Massachusetts. This is your opportunity to lead, inspire, and foster meaningful connections among students and educators statewide.
As an All-Star Lead Teacher, you will select one of your most engaging course to teach next year and adapt it for a live, online environment. You will integrate culturally relevant content and design project-based learning activities that allow students to collaborate with peers from other schools across the state. By sharing your classroom in this way, you’ll help build a statewide
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree is a plus.
- At least 4 years of experience as a lead classroom teacher.
- Current Massachusetts classroom teacher of record with a most recent summative performance rating of Proficient or Exemplary.
- Deep content knowledge and understanding of the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework for your subject area (e.g., English Language Arts and literacy, history & humanities, mathematics, or science and technology/engineering).
- Commitment to attending required monthly meetings as part of a Community of Practice.
- Willingness to adapt an existing course into a live, virtual class that will be open to students in your school and in other participating schools across the state.
Approved teachers will receive a $5k annual stipend for planning and implementation of course.
